Questions
Frequently asked questions
Why choose Royal Kids Nursery?
We know choosing a nursery is a big decision. You want your child to feel safe, loved, and happy, and to grow with confidence. At Royal Kids Nursery, we create a warm, nurturing environment where children are truly cared for, while also giving them a strong start through a high-quality British early years education.
What curriculum do you follow?
We follow the British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), delivered in partnership with Reigate Grammar School. In simple terms, this means your child learns through a balance of guided activities and play, developing language, social skills, confidence, and a natural love for learning. Our approach is STEAM-inspired and draws on elements of Reggio Emilia and Montessori, which in practice means plenty of hands-on discovery and child-led exploration alongside the EYFS framework.
What are your opening hours?
We run full-day programmes from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, with early drop-off and flexible schedules for working families. Tell us the pattern you need and we will talk you through the options.
What age groups do you cater to?
We welcome children from 45 days to 4 years. Our youngest babies are cared for in a calm, gentle environment that feels like a second home, while our older children enjoy more structured, engaging experiences that prepare them for school.
Who will be caring for my child?
Your child will be cared for by qualified, experienced educators who genuinely love working with young children. They take the time to build strong bonds with each child, so your little one feels secure, understood, and happy every day.
How do you support each child’s individual needs?
Every child is different, and we celebrate that. We take the time to understand your child’s personality, interests, and pace of development. If a child needs extra support, we work closely with families to make sure they feel included, confident, and able to thrive.
What languages are children exposed to?
Children are mainly immersed in English, helping them build strong communication skills. They are also gently introduced to Arabic and French through songs, stories, and everyday interactions, opening their minds to different cultures in a natural way.
How do you involve parents?
We see parents as partners. You will receive regular updates about your child’s day, and we are always available to talk, listen, and support. We want you to feel just as comfortable and confident as your child does with us.
When can I visit the nursery?
You are always welcome to come and see us. The best way to understand what we do is to experience it in person, meet our team, see the classrooms, and get a feel for the environment. Just reach out, and we will arrange a time that works for you.
What are your fees?
Our fees depend on the programme and timings you choose. We would be happy to walk you through the options and help you find what works best for your family, just get in touch with our admissions team.
